We are currently experiencing an increase in patients attending the surgery insisting that they be seen by one of our GPs straight away.
Can I please politely remind patients that all our GP appointments are now triaged before being booked by our GP team, following the completion of an AccuRx Triage Request.
Patients who are unable to go online to do this themselves will have the option of our reception team completing a request on their behalf, however, this does not mean that the request will be dealt with any differently to those completing themselves. ALL AccuRx requests are triaged in the same way by our GP team, and patients who have had the form completed for them by our patient services team will not receive preferential treatment. It is our GPs who determine whether you will receive a same day or alternative appointment or whether care can be provided by another health provider, and not our Patient Services Team (reception). Once the form has been completed, you will be advised that you will receive further correspondence from the practice within 24/48 hours, with no guarantee you will be seen the same day.
Please also note that we operate a Zero Tolerance Policy at Crossley Street Surgery, and we will not tolerate any aggressive, threatening or abusive behaviour towards our staff.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR CO-OPERATION AND UNDERSTANDING IN THIS MATTER
