As the Summer holidays have begun, we have seen an increasing number of requests from patients seeking medical advice while they are on holiday, and not currently in the area.

If you are on holiday, we will generally advise to seek medical advice locally. It is extremely difficult for GPs to assess patients over the telephone, and especially for children, where the GP is often unable to prescribe acute medication without an examination first.
